1.Use Parent and Child conceptViewViewViewUser will be using the Parent and Child concept during the data entry which can be found at the Constraint Tree. Normally, the child will follow the parent and inherit all the compulsory constraint while having the option to inherit other constraints if required.
2.No Limitation of the Amount of Data Entry ViewViewViewIt is known that there is no limit number of data entry that can process or generate at Timetable Plus
3.Highlighting Section ViewViewViewUser can highlight any section or group folders at the Constraint Tree. It is important to note that highlighting parent will automatically highlight child. Those sections that are highlighted at the Tree will be highlighted at the Timetable Output as well. Normally, this highlighting is done to easily identify the section/s at the Timetable Output
4.Highlight Merge Section/Slot ViewViewViewUser can highlight all the Merge sections that has been merged into similar slots at the Timetable Output.
5.Lock and Unlock Section/Courses/Slots ViewViewViewUser can lock section/s or group folders (those sections under the group folder will follow the parent and child concept) that has been assigned into the Timetable Output slots. Those locked section/s will not be adjusted if user press the Generate button unlike the unlocked section/s.
6.Hide and Show Sections/Courses/Slots ViewViewViewUser can decide whether to show or hide the section/s at the Constraints Tree that has been assigned by using the Hide and Show Sections function. This Hide and Show sections is meant for printing purpose.
7.Sections to be Included or Excluded in the Timetable Output ViewViewViewSections that will be slotted into the Timetable Output is the Included sections while Excluded sections will not be able to be slotted into via Auto Generate or Manual Allocation. User can decided to Include or Exclude the sections or Group folders or even via Batch or even Lecturers.
8.Assigning Sections to Batch Grouping via Group Folder ViewViewUser can assign group of folders or section/s to respective Batch of Students.
9.Remove Section Slot Assignment via Group Folder ViewViewUser can remove slot assignment of section/s or those sections under group folders. Please note that user need to unlock the section/s before removing the slot assignment.
10.Inherit Constraint Setting from Group folder ViewViewViewUser can inherit some constraint settings using the parent child concept by the Inherit function. Those that inherit at the parent group folders have effect on all the sections or folders under the parent group folders.
11.Cut, Copy & Paste function of Sections or Group folders ViewViewViewUser can Copy or Cut any section or group folder at the Tree Constraints and Paste it to a new location. Please note that Copy will duplicate any section or sections under the copied group folders with all the details except for Section Name at the Section Properties. Cut and Paste process will move the section or sections under the cut group folders to a new location.
12.Move Sections or Group Folders into Constraints Tree or Batch Groupings or Merge GroupsViewUser can use the Move to Group function to move the section/s or group folder to new location at: 1. Constraint Tree 2. Batch Group 3. Merge Group
13.Change Section details from the Group folder ViewBy using the Change Section Details in Group function, user can collectively change details of Section Properties for all the sections which are under the same group folder.
14.Locate Section to Course List, Merge Group, Batch groupings and Lecturer listViewViewViewUser can use the Locate Section function to locate the identified section to various place or tabs as follow: 1. Section at Constraint Tree to similar Section at Merge Group (vice versa) 2. Section at Constraints Tree at similar Section at Lecturer List (vice versa) 3. Section at Constraint Tree to similar section at Batch Group (vice versa) 4. Section at Constraint Tree to similar section at Course List (vice versa)
15.Manual Merge function ViewViewViewUser can use the Manual Merge function to merge an assigned section with another section that has not been assigned or want to change the slot. The merged sections will then share the same slot which is same day and time. Please take note: 1. User need to do the Manual Merge from the assign section in order to select the section that want to be merged with 2. Locked section that want to be manual merged need to be unlocked first before the Manual Merge Process. This is because all locked section need to be unlocked first before changing slot
16.Using Data Entry Template ViewNormally user create data entry directly from the Constraint Tree. However, user can also use the Timetable Plus Excel Data Entry Template which is in Excel platform to create the data entry. The Data from the Timetable Plus Excel Data Entry Template can then be imported into Timetable Plus software and the data entry will be automatically created at the Constraint Tree. This will include the Merging Group and as well as the Batch Group assignment which can also be done at the Excel Template.
